Initial Meeting
We meet the client to understand their space, lifestyle, design preferences, and specific requirements. This helps us define a clear vision and scope for the project.

Proposal
Based on the initial discussion, we create a proposed layout along with a detailed quotation. This includes space planning, material suggestions, and estimated timelines.

Finalization
We review feedback and make necessary revisions to the layout and quotation. Once approved, we proceed with a formal agreement to kickstart the project.

As clueless first-time home owners with no good recommendations, it was only after a number of failed meetings with other ID firms before we finally found Ovon Design through Home Match.
We had the pleasure of having Ray as our ID and project manager, who is a wonder to work with. Ray understood perfectly our vision for our dream home, and we knew he was the one when we saw his that his proposed designs differed from the generic designs we saw from other IDs. More importantly, we had great rapport and communication was easy and comfortable.
From day one, Ray was on top of things and kept us swiftly on track throughout the renovation journey. During the planning and preparation phase, we were always firmly guided through every single process. As busy working parents of a young toddler, we often did not have the time for frequent site visits once renovation commenced, and Ray would oversee the home project and provide us with timely updates via photos and videos on WhatsApp without prompting on our end. He was also highly responsive every time we had a question to consult.
When it comes to shopping for fittings and fixtures, we wanted to make sure that what we get for our home are suitable and sticks closely to the theme, and we really appreciated Ray for going out of his way to come down with us to ensure we purchase the right ones, and even making several trips to our home to receive them when they were delivered.
Although there were expected minor hiccups along the way, Ray was swift to address them by proactively contacting the relevant vendors and they were resolved quickly.
Our project was completed on time and we’re absolutely thrilled that our new home turned out exactly like how we envisioned it to be: cosy, warm and inviting. Was introduced to Ovon via a Qanvast event and decided to go ahead with Megan as she was attentive to details and also knowledgeable. For example her experience shows when she is able to immediately respond or suggest the standard measurements needed for different sections of the home and hence able to quickly provide feedback on any initial ideas that we may have in mind. Megan was also very responsive and kept us informed on the progress of the renovations and quick to revert during defects resolution. We always felt that the renovation was well managed and under control. Thanks Megan for making our renovation stress free.
Work with KS of Ovon on some minor renovations on our home, took a leap of faith as contracted them during the first discussion as they were able to mobilize quickly. Homeowners at times can be indecisive at when it comes to remodeling our home but KS was very patient and accommodating to the point that it surprised me since other vendors would always have additional cost considerations or constraints when a change of plan comes into play. But KS was able to stay patient and positive throughout. Kudos! Would definitely recommend!
We are glad to have worked with Kate and Ray from Ovon. They were prompt in their replies throughout the 3 months of renovation. Them being easily contactable was a great help when we needed impromptu advice when purchasing fittings for the renovation, or when some concerns were raised and we could get hold of them easily to resolve those concerns.
Kate is very competent in her work, and is accommodating to making changes where possible or when we made additional requests in the midst of the renovation. When issues cropped up, she dealt with each item and explained what actions would be taken.
Kudos to Ray too for being equally involved and getting the paperwork/permits done and scheduling the contractors, calling them in whenever we spotted more things for rectification.

After seeing their work on my uncle's house, we knew we wanted to go with Ovon. They totally delivered on quality of workmanship and bringing the 3D drawings to life. Our vision board & practical requirements from the first briefing were brought to life & more. We LOVE our glass doors and laminate cabinets. Thank you to Kahfei & Annie for all the hard work!! While there's room for improvement when communicating/pre-empting/problem solving - the final output was worth it! We were shortlisting IDs on the Qanvast platform by browsing through the featured portfolio to see which ID has home designs and theme that calls out to us and generally in line with what we were looking for. Reading the reviews from homeowners have also helped us assess the reliability and competencies of the IDs.
Eventually, after meeting with a few of our shortlisted IDs and comparing quotes, we decided to go with Ovon Design primarily because they were best able to innovate and came up with ingenious designs that were different from the rest. The ability of the IDs (Ren Peng and Kah Fei) to grasp the theme and vibes we want was the key driver to us saying yes to Ovon Design! ☺️
The 3D rendering was a pretty exciting process where we get to see the 2D designs and ideas come to live. It is also worthwhile to mention that this designing process is quite fluid, and with multiple iterations as sometimes the materials or designs we picked turned out not quite cohesive to the overall theme. For instance, the initial tiles we picked for the bathrooms didn’t turn out great in the first draft of the 3D render. Even after modifying the placement of the tiles, the effects were not quite right. So our ID - Kah Fei, made the call and told us to reselect the tiles. While it can be a little stressful at that time, but we’re so glad we followed the decisive call by our ID.
In terms of project management, no ID projects are perfect and we understand there maybe uncontrollable or unforeseen circumstances. The areas of improvement include better time management and more open and timely communications. Renovations are never an easy process, so we recognise the hard work and efforts by our IDs, and always accommodating our requests and answering our countless number of questions.

Kate, our ID is a pleasant, easy going and competent designer. We felt really comfortable speaking to her from the beginning; she was warm and supportive unlike other designers we had spoken to from other companies. She has been greatly attentive to any feedback or follow up needed and has always shown professionalism throughout the entire process before during and after.
